Uhh… It has been 2 months since I am here in RBC, the time flies so fast. And we had so much to do: we had our first project week, our Host family weekend, we were in Europapark, UWC Meeting and much more.
And honestly speaking I did not have much time to relax, but now in fall break I am relaxing. 😊
Project Week: We were in Prague, where we worked in charity-shop for and made people in Prague aware that October is the breast-cancer-awareness-month. Furthermore, we collected donations for people who have breast cancer. How? We made about 200-300 small pink ribbons, which we sold and then collected the money.
Host family weekend: the weekend after the Project week, we went to our Host families to spend time with them and to get to know them. I am sharing my Host family with a girl from Rwanda, and I am very happy that she is with me. We had a lot fun with our Host family, we went hiking and once to Colmar. They have lots of animals: 2 horses, 1 pony, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 13 ducks and 2 chickens. Every animal is super cute, especially the dogs, they are adorable. We both really enjoyed it to stay once with our Host family because the life in RBC is cool, but away from the Hostel-life is sometimes nice. And I am so lucky my Host-family is so nice.
Europapark: We got an opportunity to go there and it was amazing. We went to the different nations represented there and had really the feeling as though we are in this certain country. The world in Europapark is dreamful and with friends it was really cool.
UWC meeting: Many Heads and Chairs came to our college for a meeting for UWC Strategy – the future about UWC movement (What will happen in 5 years, what are the plans? etc.) was discussed. We had a Cultural show where students danced, hosted, spoke, made poems and much more.
We have had so much in such a short time. So far I am loving it to be here. :)) If you want to see the amazing show here is the video
